I thought the first one sucked HARD %26 when they pulled the million dollar contest at the last minute that pretty much sealed the deal for me. I hope they never make a sequel to it, it was total crap IMO. Glad you all liked it though.

It's funny, I used to just drive around on the dirt bikes and I thought it was cool, but then i really started racing and it became addicting fun and challenging!
yeah racing is the best fun, i will never stop riding.
hell yeah, i need a moto x game, i love bmx in real life but those games rarely are good, i cam say that i do love most mx games and cant wait to get one on 360

Ok I bought a wireless mic yesterday, settin it up today and it keeps connecting the headset to Number 2, I only have one controller turned on tho... how do I connect it to my first controller so that I can actually use it, I read the booklet it still connects to Number 2Wireless Mic Help

in my oppinion, no. Played halo 3 beta, and the multiplayer already kicks gears's ass. Even halo 2 did. It's also a fact that gears of war has these glitched, lag, host etc... and ranked really isn't enjoyable anymore. It's only fun with friends. Halo 3 has vehicles, and IMO overall better gameplay. I rated gears a 9.8 back in the day, cause back then, i loved it. I still love halo 2 after 2 and a haf years, and halo 3 isn't going to be anything different. It's my oppinion, don't blame me for having it.
Remember they are 2 differant art styles, Gears is heavly stylised, Halo 3 is realistic. Making them hard to compair.

To tell you the truth, most the games ive played on 360 never got my attention but a few. so what games have you played that was a complete waste of money and games that where completely worth that 70$ best-GoW. Pros- good gameplay, revolutionary, easy to learn and play. Cons-over-exagerated popularity, and not a n00b-friendly atmosphere
worst-Lost Planet. Pros- easy achevements, good storyline. Cons- Multiplayer, difficult controls. acward movment, camera angles screw around with you. and storyline snipers NEVER miss.Best and worst games for 360

One of my friends lent me his copy of Oblivion and now i dont want to give it back ever. At the start its a bad place to start a game 'jail'. Then you go into the sewers which is even worse casue you are by your self with rats trying to kill you or goblins like i said before its a bad way to start such a good game. Once you leave the sewers and get into the game it is such a good game. The only bad thing about the game is the loading of your profile and when you quick travel to and from the Imperial City or Cloud Ruler Temple which are my favourite places to go. The worst thing worst then the sewers is the Oblivion Gate and going to the plan of Oblivion. hey everyone! i really loved the DiRT demo and will be getting it but i was just wondering (will probably sound picky) if in the full version would there be a longer trace of dust behind you? because the opening movie showed a lot of dirt and mud being picked up! i'd think it would be pretty sweet if there was a longer trail behind you, especially on the buggy's.DiRT trails?

Worried About 360
I have recently bought my 360 and have read alot of things about people having problems with them, this is quite worrying because I have spent alot of money on this machine and I don't like that it's unstable. I mean honestly what are the chances of my 360 breaking down on me, I have read so many articles from people who say that there xbox's have just broken and now every time I play on it I worry that I am going to see those dreaded read lights indicating that my machine is bust.I only have the core system, do I need to be worried about my machine? Mines fine. Just don't stand it up vertically. I think if it is verticle it may increase the chance of a scratch. And put the system ina well ventilated area so that it won't overheat. so, like put it in an airconditioned room or put a fan in front of it. I dont but it will reduce the overheating problem. And I think there is a cooler that you can attatch to the 360. and if you can't do any of those just don't play it for a long time because if it is played for a long time it will get very hot.

It seems really shoddy that you pay so much money for something that is so poorly put together, I mean why should I have to buy an extra fn, if it needs cooling that much then it should come with the equiptment to keep it cool. No lie, theres probably a 30% chance it will break, but if it breaks within the first year you get a free repair, and of course you can get a warranty. To me the games are worth the chance of breaking, but thats just me.

As with all new generation systems (X360 or PS3), you gotta allow for some room for the unit to ventilate. These high powered processors run at high temps, and need the room to move air. Getting a cheap cooler does help too, if you are really concerned about the heat issue. Just use some common sense... its really not that hard.

Gears of War 9.6???
sure it was a great game, and still is. but 9.6???come on people.how can gears be better than games like halo 2, final fantasy vii, super mario 64, god of war, GTA, half-life 2, etc...the story was short, and horribly done within the game.(backstory was pretty cool) and there were never more than about 6 enemies on the screen. the multiplayer is just a bunch of shotgun shootouts(i know it's exxageration but it's mostly true), and host advantage is extremely annoying, not to mention by FAR the worst online community on xbox live. while, just compared to halo 2, the singleplayer was long and amazing, there were times of chaos and insanity. not to mention the game that defined fps console online multiplayer. (it's what microsoft based the new xbox 360 live off.) host adavantage is all but eliminated, and there are maps and weapons that create encounters that are NOT always shotgun shootouts. how did gears get a 9.6 when halo 2 got a 9.4? Gears is more up to date and it was a really good game. Games that are rated in magazines and on sites are rated from the graphics, sounds and gameplay, etc. Not how much fun the game is. Many people may think Halo 2 is more fun then GeOW has many better things. And anyways this is just one site there may be many others that rank Halo 2 higher the GeOW.
Mabe the reviewer likes Gears more then Halo, nig deal, it's just .2 points.
Hmm I don't agree with you at all, i still play online and yes there is a noticable difference between host and non host but it is still very fun. The campaign I actually beat multiple times because it was fun and even more fun in coop.

ZOMG 9.6 for Gears and only 9.4 for Halo???? I'm not a math major but 0.2% doesn't equal much; they're just numbers. Get a hold of yourself. All the games you mentioned are in the scoring range of where Gears sits. Gears is an awesome game because it delivers. Halo 2 is last gen, Gears of War is current gen. I don't understand why people have a beef with the scoring system. Who cares?

agreed TC. gears was super linear, repetitive, short, lacking MP options, and at times, down right boring. not to mentions the bogus updates and insane host advantage flaws, this game has become a joke, though to be fair, these were added after release. other games are bashed for these types of things yet it was ok for epic to release a half @$$ed game (albeit a pretty one). I would never give this game anything over an 8.

Gears is more up to date and it was a really good game. Games that are rated in magazines and on sites are rated from the graphics, sounds and gameplay, etc. Not how much fun the game is. Many people may think Halo 2 is more fun then GeOW has many better things. And anyways this is just one site there may be many others that rank Halo 2 higher the GeOW.
Mabe the reviewer likes Gears more then Halo, nig deal, it's just .2 points.
Hmm I don't agree with you at all, i still play online and yes there is a noticable difference between host and non host but it is still very fun. The campaign I actually beat multiple times because it was fun and even more fun in coop.

ZOMG 9.6 for Gears and only 9.4 for Halo???? I'm not a math major but 0.2% doesn't equal much; they're just numbers. Get a hold of yourself. All the games you mentioned are in the scoring range of where Gears sits. Gears is an awesome game because it delivers. Halo 2 is last gen, Gears of War is current gen. I don't understand why people have a beef with the scoring system. Who cares?

agreed TC. gears was super linear, repetitive, short, lacking MP options, and at times, down right boring. not to mentions the bogus updates and insane host advantage flaws, this game has become a joke, though to be fair, these were added after release. other games are bashed for these types of things yet it was ok for epic to release a half @$$ed game (albeit a pretty one). I would never give this game anything over an 8.

Ok I'm doing offline story mode. I'm level 15 with Ethan and on chapter 4. the only weapon I been using was a saber with the same photon art u get with it in the beginning. Its about level 21 but should I get another weapon like double sabers because this on is getting weak and I dont know much about the weapons in this game. Also what is the best weapon overall

I have a question... I know that 'the fall of reach' is the prequel to the first halo game. And 'the flood' tells the events of the first game. So is 'first strike' the story of halo 2?the halo books.

You guys aren't serious are you? First, let me make sure I know what I'm looking at. That's a picture of Goldeneye right? I thought so. Goldeneye has no chance of making it onto the Wii. It's a Rare game and Microsoft owns Rare. If anyone gets it, it'll be XBLA. Unless Microsoft were to cut a deal with Nintendo to allow it on the Wii too.
Also, the original Perfect Dark is a way better game than Goldeneye.
The X-Men Arcade game would be amazing. Playing that game with 3 other people over Xbox Live would rule.

hi havin trouble connecting devices to my amp. i have the amp set on 1-3 so i can have digital inputs. wen i do the sound test i get fuzz from all the speakers and the sub. i have a y connecter (lead phono to 2 rca) connect my dvd recorder and i only get the front (1), rear (2), centre/sub (3) whichever phono port i choose. any help will be appreciated. cheers

Fable 2. I loved the first one, and this game is supposed to be everything the first one wasn't. I don't think I will believe Peter Molyneux until I see more, but I really like that they are trying to make gamers feel emotionally attached to their characters.

Gives you a bit more to do than mindlessly wandering around killing stuff (which I felt Oblivion eventually devolves into, although I still love it.)That said, I'm more psyched about AC than Fable 2. I'm a sucker for sneaking around and killing stuff!

I don't think ps3 will surpass xbox achievements; however, it would be fun to use the achievements that you have unlocked as a gamer picture. Don't think it is a right however.
Try this: go to Xbox.com, sign in, click on View Games, go to the game you want to view the achievements for, then right click to the save the file to your computer, then upload that file to your Gamespot profile. I haven't tried it all the way through yet, but it seems like it would work to me.

even PS3 is making good progresses with their trophy room.. and if they improve the trophy room with some % game finished, played list, played hours and other stats.. with the new reward system like home-stuff, clothes and trophies.. they probably gonna surpass MS on the reward program part of this console war.. dont you think?

Well the first time i got gears of war i was overjoyed,loved it.I did the main story till its hearts content.Then a few weeks ago i went back online with it and all that was there was shotgun this and shotgun that.I found it very boring and now i cant help but say:''is this game way repeadative and dull or is the shotgun the biggest waste of time on gears''????Gears of a boring age (sigh)

I agree. I played through the single player game so many times..atleast 6. Though not all back to back, spanned out in a month or two period. Then went and played a decent amount of online (20 or so hours) and enjoyed it. However I was almost always frustrated with the shotgun. After I got bored and quit playing for some time and got back on about a week ago. While I had fun, mainly because I liked the people I was playing with and against. I found that the only weapon that had use was the shotgun or grenades. While melee works, playing against someone who is ''okay'' at using the shotgun makes everything else useless. The sniper is nice still, and thankfully just as fun to play with but it is only useful in specific situations, as with the bow. Boomshot is nice, but because of its ammo capacity I found it less then useful unless you and your team actually work together. As fun as the game still is, it is far to reliant on the shotty IMO.
If you don't like it, don't play. Simple as.These Gears hating threads are getting seriously dull now.

It still gets my blood pumping, I only recently started playing ranked so there is more incentive to pick up other weapons as there are achievements to be had, I'm currently working on my boomshot achievement. I do however like the shotty/lancer combo for warzone the best, I played an excellent Raven Down a couple of nights ago which is the biggest shotgun fest there is and I have to say I have more fun when people aren't scared to mash in the middle of the map as opposed to cowering in a dark corner for the duration of the round. Fact is simple, if you hate shotgun/don't know how to use it Gears probably isn't your game.

Gears isn't the best game on the X360. Its the game with the best graphics. You take that away, there is little else. I own the game and I use the disc as a coaster while I'm playing C %26 C3, Halo 2, or RS:V or Oblivion. Plus, maybe gears 2 will have more than 8 players online in a match next time.

It was found out that it is likely you would get more kills doing it that way so people started to doing, it is strategy to move on to do that, just not the kind you would like to see. The lancer battles aren't the best thing to do anyway since they can go on forever if you just shoot and duck and the other person does the same. People have complained about every weapon in the game and this is just another one of those. If its not the shotgun, its the chainsaw or frag tagging. It seems people are only happy if you use a lancer and they win. :wink:
The shotgun is a strong weapon, but you don't have fight with a shotie. Now if you get a team who works as a team, you can really own the guys using the shoties. This is how. 1. Grab the sniper. (Set your sniper up in a key location of the map, leave him there) 2. take two guys with you and gain a major point of the map, where you can see most of the action. 3.When you see the enemy stay behind cover and shoot, do not go strait for them, they will advance to you. as they are advancing, have two pull on suppressive fire, as you try to gain a backwards flank. 4.When you are at range for the backwards flank tell one of your men to advance, he may die, but if you do this fast enough you can chain saw one guy, while your team mate who is still on cover shoots the third guy, and the guy who is rushing your rusher, will be in a firefight, but you will have the better position to win.

the main weapon in the game is the shotgun, it woulda been better if they had more weapons other than just the sniper, boom, bow, and hammer. if u can come up with a gun w/ a chainsaw u can come up wit way more creative weapons. I hope when the nest one comes, that u dont have to soley rely on the shotgun in close combat. a knife would be nice.

the main weapon in the game is the shotgun, it woulda been better if they had more weapons other than just the sniper, boom, bow, and hammer. if u can come up with a gun w/ a chainsaw u can come up wit way more creative weapons. Although I am a casual gamer, I do own a 60GB PS3, Wii, PSP, and DS and a nice HD set-up. I've been looking at getting an Elite for quite some time now (because, well, I am a bit disappointed with the PS3 at the moment), but the XBOX concept is pretty much new to me. I lived on the Playstation and Nintendo brand for so long, I thought it might be time to try something new too. I'm not an FPS guy, I play them, but I suck harder than Ben Affleck trying to be a standup comedian, so what games should I take a look at? I have Gears of War (it's third person, I can handle that) on my list already, but beyond that, I don't really know where else to look.Buying an Elite soon, help out a n00b?

I just got an Elite myself, also not being familiar with the 360 at the time. Honestly I would say you just get Gears of War for now (I just did and it is ALOT of fun) and spend some time with the Demos and Xbox Live Arcade games. There's like over 100 demos available, and considering all the games cost $60+, I think its wiser to try out some demo stuff before dropping anymore money on this thing. Don't forget, you're already going to have to buy a 2nd controller ($50 if you want wireless) and the wireless adapter ($100, unless you plan on going wired) so you may want to cut down on the bleeding for a bit. I know I did.
Guitar Hero II, Forza 2, Crackdown, GRAW 2, MLB 2k7, Madden 07, Burnout: Revenge, C%26C 3, Battle for Middle Earth II, and don't forget about many great Xbox Live Arcade titles available. Get Aegis Wing, its free and its a lot of fun.

Well if you don't like FPS's maybe try Tomb Raider: Legend, or Kameo: Elements of Power. Both have their share of action, but are slightly geared more toward a puzzle/platforming aspect.
This is a tiny bit off base but I don't know as of yet how the Elites hold up, some of us had alot of hardware problems with our Xbox 360's so I'd say just in case you may want a warranty. I always get them for new systems. If you do try to get it from a place that has a straight across trade in warranty system and not the ''here is a box ship it away and wait months'' warranty. So far spending 80 bucks extra on my warranty saved me tons when I was super unlucky with 3!!!! dead Xbox's! And I baby my gear. Was just horrible luck. And I agree about the Ps3 atm, I can't wait for it to pick up though, gonna be glad I bought mine later, right now, it's in a box waiting for Lair :P

I just got done reading about conviction. I was hoping that the sersis would return to its roots but now its gone further into stupidity!! Its simply not the same game that i signed up for. I like the steath at night with gadets and all. In the next gen of gaming they could have mastered that game play. Sneaking around during the day wasn't very fun, and I hated the trial and error of trying to complete all the tasks while in the terrorists' HQ. But I am looking forward to Conviction. It seems like something completely different from DA. Maybe because you won't have all the gadgets will make it more fun. I'll definitely give it a rental, or buy it once I can find a used copy and return if I don't like it.
I have really enjoyed playing the first 3 Splinter Cell games on pc, i love the whole stealth and high tech gadgets that you get to use in each mission. I can't give an opinion on Double Agent yet since i have only ordered it today for the 360 (Ubisoft Shanghai screwed the PC version up so i have opted for the console version this time around).From what i have seen of Conviction it looks really good, although i will probably miss all the high tech gadgets i am glad that they are taking the series into new territories.

which used game to get?
should i get maden 07 for 14.95 with 5% off and 5 bucks off or ncaa 07 football for the same price? both come out to little over 9 bucks which used game to get?

I know you can get one extended but im not sure if you can do that for a 360 that has gone in for repairs. I think you have to do it at the time you purchase the system. I know you can get one extended but im not sure if you can do that for a 360 that has gone in for repairs. I think you have to do it at the time you purchase the system. If you're buying your first console or even just a new one i would suggest the Elite over the pro. You get the 120gb hdd (nice plus) and hdmi as well as the cable to boot. 499 (pro) and 549 (elite) so i think it's a pretty good deal for an extra $50.

You have a television capable of 720P (or higher), or plan to buy one in the foreseeable future (Especially if you plan to get the HD-DVD add on)
2. Plan on storing alot of music , and or downloading alot from XBox live.Otherwise you can save yourself $80 and get the premium. It's not rocket science.

Hi all,I have a question about internet. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I have the Qwest 256kb internet. Basically, it takes a long time to download demos from Xbox Live. Games actually play ok, but downloading stuff takes a loooong time. I'm looking for a new internet provider, and I was wonder if there are any people out there that live around my area that could suggest some other, faster internet providers. I know Comcast is available here, but I don't want to spend that much a month. I know Qwest offers a 1.5mb speed, but that is also a little more than I would like to spend. Thanks in advance!
