every game you play on the 360 has a short storyline that you could finish in a few days. when It comes to live you could play it for months. let me know If you think this is better or not.anyone feel that games now are all about ...
I somewhat agree. For years games will run about 10 hours of gameplay as your aprox high end unless you're doing racing games or rpgs. I think these days though they are improving the quality of the online experience so those by nature short games feel half assed because you can now get soo much more out of the online side. Some games i would like to see longer but it is nice to be able to get the bang for your buck through online once you have beaten the single playeranyone feel that games now are all about ...
Realistically, most genre's the 360 specializes in only have a typical 10 hour span (action games and shooters.) But I am worries that single player campaigns suffer because every friggin game thinks it needs a multiplayer. A multiplayer which is easily ignorable for a better one already out. That's why I'm looking forward to Bioshock (crosses fingers for 20 hour campaign...)
i like it, i feel i get my money's worth that way. Even if games had a storyline that was 30-40 hours, most people would play it through once and be done with it in like 2 to 3 weeks. Live extends great games for months. Halo 2 is 2 and 1/2 years old and people are still playing. How many people are playing zelda twilight princess now.
Yes, but that's what people buy.I like games with epic stories and I could give a crap about online play mostly. I loved Prey because it had an epic story. It was short, but it was good. The online play was laggy as hell, but that didn't bother me.I am looking forward to games like BioShock, Alan Wake, and Mass Effect because they all are trying to be epic and move games closer to being a rich and interactive experience instead of just a mindless shooting fest.
since games are 60 bucks, they should have a 40-50 hour story mode and greta multiplayer. that would be awesome.

It was the best single player game I played last year. If u havnt given it a chance do it now. Its an affordable game and single player was great. MUltiplayer suked so just stay away from that part.
yea... most X360 titles focus more on the MP, but that is the way i like it. i do enjoy a good RPG with a great storyline, but a game with an awesome MP component can entertain me for months... even years.
I'm recently palying Viva Pinata and Conndemned. So no. I don't feel that games are all about live.
ummm buy a ps3?
I would love to see more balance. Too many games are going away from local multiplayer for up to four players. Even last year's Madden was only head-to-head. I play games on Xbox Live all the time as well, but it would be great if more games came with 4 player offline support. Too many recent and upcoming shooters have lost this overlooked feature.
I'm holding out hope for more games like Mass Effect... In this respect (Short SP) Live is actually a bad thing for games and gaming, imo.... It's about making friends instead of making art =/ Albeit cyber-friends anyway.
