Xbox360 Scratched my game

I was playing COD2 last night.  I finished clearing out a church at hill 400.  Thought that the game was going to save and give me an achievment, but instead the 360 made a wierd noise and said I had an error.  Tryed the damn game again and it did not work.  When I checked the disc it had a perfect round scratch that I believe was caused by the Xbox360.  If this has happened to anyone else please respond.Xbox360 Scratched my game
Never happened to me but i have heard of people having that issue.  Microsoft has a disk replacement program but it only covers a few games.  Not sure if COD2 is covered.  Xbox360 Scratched my game
Man that sucks. I know it can happen if you move the system while the disc is spinning.Otherwise, if you just bought it recently maybe you can return it. If not you'll have to do the old swichroo, where you buy the same game again, then return the scratched (keeping the working one at home) disk a few hours later. They'll exchange it for the same game, but it should be all wrapped up. Then take it to WalMart and return it without the receipt. Since it's all factory wrapped they'll take it back and give you store credit. I invented this system years ago when I bought Rise of the Robots and was so disappointed I wanted to slash my wrists.
Did you move the system while playing?
Happened to me with my Guitar Hero 2 now i can't play any songs in the tier (7-8?) where Freebird is located. Also many other songs don't work as-well but in my opinion one of the best tiers and I can't play it on and difficulty or Quick Play.
damn thats suks. it almost happen to me when it started to make a odd noise so i ejected the disc as fast as i could.
