Is it me or do we 'get over graphics'

I noticed at 1st when i play game the graphics seem good but they  get worse as i play them and gradely i don't think much of them at all . like even now gears of war is losing its graphical appeal but this is probley because i've seen the crysis screenshots. So it may be  just that games are moving so quickIs it me or do we 'get over graphics'
i wouldnt know i never got over gears graphicsIs it me or do we 'get over graphics'
I'll put it this way, the first time I played Oblivion my jaw dropped, it was the first time I had ever seen a next-gen game first hand and I thought the graphics were amazing.  Today, I still think the graphics are great but they don't have that jaw dropping feeling that they once did when I first started playing it.  So yes I agree with you, I think as we play more we don't see them in the same light as we first did.
maybe but all it takes is a few minutes on an old game to bring back the appeal.
Everything fades in time but I think one should still be impressed to say the least with a game even after multiple viewings since the graphics indeed haven't changed.
go back and play NBA live 99 for a little while... haha, last time i did that i couldn't believe I was able to distiguish anything on the court...
as long as the game it should not matter. get off of graphics look at pac man for example its still a great game.
The fact is that ''graphics'' represent real life. You start to notice weaknesses or faults. Graphics can always improve. Many people think Crysis is amazing, but there will be games with equal or better graphics on 360 (despite the DX10 spec for Crysis.)
People put way too much stock in graphics.  If you grew up on the Atari, Intellivision %26 ColecoVision like I did, you would realize that graphics nowadays are great %26 that GAMEPLAY is what really matters.  Gamers are just too jaded nowadays %26 don't know the meaning of truly crappy graphics, (8-bit sprites anyone???  Mode 7 scrolling????  Most probably don't even know what that means).
