Bought a 360 at Best Buy today, still haven't opened it.
Want to trade it in for an Elite before I do. (I now have 30 days to do so)
Anyone know Best Buy's shipping schedule?
Is Microsoft totally slacking with Elite production?
Why can't i get my hands of one of these?
Grateful for any and all help.Difficult time finding the Elite...(Help ...
no ideas?Difficult time finding the Elite...(Help ...
The most you can do is call every store (every day) and ask if the Elite is in stock or ask when they will be in stock. Not much you can do but give each store a call.
Tuesday seems to be the magic day for best buy shipments (not just games). but yeah, just call everyday and bug them like crazy.
I would straight return your system, and get online. Quick bookmark every major electronics/toy retailers page for the elite (Circuit City, Best Buy, Amazon, Toys R' Us), and then check them once in a while. I netted one from Circuit City with free shipping using that method.
They are in high demand, I have yet to see one since I bought mine. Just go to the stores alot and prepare to beat some people up for one.
i saw one at walmart today, try them out
I have a hard time believing that you can't find a single Elite anywhere. I live in a town of like 50,000 in the area or so, and Walmart, Target, ShopKo, and Best Buy all have them in stock just about every time I go to one. BB seems to have the smallest supply, though, since I sometimes don't see any consoles on the shelves for any of the 3 current gens. I would say to try department stores first. Best Buy must be the store of choice for all the parent's-basement-gamers that seem to hover around the front doors when they open. I just don't see a reason for a huge demand on an 18 month old console. I promise you, you'll find one shortly, as soon as the holiday is over. :)
