You could put them on hard drives, and memory cards. (I'm not sure about memory cards though, I don't have one) And you can play them as trials if you don't pay for the full versions.
If you change consoles, the only way you could play them in full form is if you are signed in online. I had this same problem, as did my uncle when he brought his hard drive over, downloaded some stuff, then was unable to play it because it wasn't his console and because he can't get online where he is.Yes, it's very retarded.
